A Summer in Sicily: Weddings and On-the-Road Adventures
This summer, I had the pleasure of collaborating with my friend and colleague from Sicily, Elisa Trusso. I spent about a month as her guest, traveling from Genoa by ferry with my van and my dog to the beautiful island of Sicily.
During this time, I had the chance to assist her as a second photographer at four traditional Italian weddings. It was my first real experience with Sicilian culture, and it was truly unforgettable: from the emotional preparations, to the ceremonies full of tradition, to the spontaneous moments that make each wedding so unique.
But the adventure didn’t stop there. We also took the opportunity to explore the entire island for ten days on the road, with my van, our two dogs, and a map full of hidden gems to discover. Between breathtaking landscapes, charming small towns, and winding country roads, it was a journey that combined personal curiosity and professional growth, allowing me to experience Sicily beyond the weddings.
This experience left me with unforgettable memories, blending culture, tradition, and nature, and reminded me how valuable it is to travel with passion, work, and friends by your side.
